Chapter 12 overview

Fading Light is the shortest collectible chapter in the back half. Sophia follows the beam, survives the quarry beasts, passes the Creature's territory and reaches the labyrinth for the Minos fight. The chapter is where the game makes its final push toward the endgame.

Walkthrough by subchapter

SubchapterWhat happens
The BeamFollow the light beam through the opening stretch toward the quarry.
The Wrecked QuarryThe quarry survival section with the beast horde.
The Creature's FuryThe return of the Creature threat in the tight passages.
A Few More StepsThe final approach to the labyrinth and the Minos fight.

Quarry survival and the Creature

The Wrecked Quarry is a survival stretch: move with the beasts, use the environment to funnel them and keep moving through the wreckage. The Creature's Fury brings back the light-based stealth from Chapter 6, so the same rules apply: stay near light, shed less dust, and use gaps to slow the pursuer. There is also an Inherited Brutality cave encounter in this chapter, described by one wiki as a cave confrontation, though its exact nature is not fully confirmed.

The chapter's low count makes it one of the fastest cleanup chapters. Exact pickup coordinates are not fully published in the sources we use, but chapter select covers everything.

Minos boss fight: unblockable, two phases

Minos is fought as Ariadne, and every attack is unblockable. That means the fight is a pure dodge test. Phase one uses the axe; phase two adds a fire axe with area-of-effect swings. Learn the tell for the AoE, dodge through the opening, and punish with the light attacks. Do not try to parry anything.

Missables and trophy notes

The three collectibles are safe. Like a Warrior is tied to this part of the game in allthings.how's guide, because the final mastery branches finish around here, and keengamer calls it the only truly missable trophy in the set. The safe habit is to keep collecting Resonance Points every chapter so the 165-point threshold is met before the end.

Chapter 13, As One, is the finale: the labyrinth, the Minotaur and the game's last collectibles.
