Chapter 13 overview

As One is where the story and the gameplay both climax. Sophia crosses the labyrinth on Ariadne's thread, works through the illusion and corruption sections, and fights the Minotaur at the centre of the maze. It is the last chapter with collectibles and the last chapter with combat.

Walkthrough by subchapter

SubchapterWhat happens
The LabyrinthNavigate the maze using Ariadne's white thread line, with light-beam reflectors and pressure plates.
IllusionsThe illusion sections where the labyrinth plays with light and perception.
Surviving CorruptionPurify corrupted areas with Light Concentrate and survive the puppet encounters.
One Last TrialThe final trial arena with the last soldier fights.
By Your SideThe approach to the Minotaur, including the zipline sequence on the white thread.
The MinotaurThe Asterion boss fight and the game's final confrontation.

The subchapter names come from gamingpromax's chapter table; IGN and Eurogamer structure the same route as a list of objectives. The white thread line that guides the maze is a callback to the Chapter 8 Resonance memory.

Puzzles and light mechanics

  • White line navigation: follow Ariadne's thread through the labyrinth; it is the game's way of keeping the maze navigable.
  • Reflector chains: line up the light-beam reflectors with the pressure plates and lanterns to unlock the petrified rooms.
  • Light Concentrate: purify the corruption blocking the path.
  • Illusions: the maze hides the real route; use light to expose it.

Collectibles in Chapter 13

TypeNameHow to get it
Artefact (Relic of the Past)Labyrinth PlanOn a high stone platform after the second Resonance Point; cross the narrow cliff to reach it. It is the last Relic of the Past.
Artefact (Relic of the Present)Poisoned SyringeAt the door mechanism next to the fourth Resonance Point. It is the last Relic of the Present.
CharmTrinket (5)In a chest near the large double mirror in the final stretch. It is the last Charm.
Resonance Points6 totalFixed-order pickups along the labyrinth route, one per spot. They only save at the next checkpoint.

allthings.how counts this chapter as nine collectibles because it includes the six Resonance Points; IGN and gamingpromax count three because they only count the pickable items. Both are the same set, just different counting styles, and the game's 275 total includes the points.

Combat encounters

The chapter keeps the arena structure: two shield soldiers with a heavy brute and two archers in the first switch; three soldiers and a shield soldier in the middle, with a deliberate hit that restores the arena; two corrupted puppets that wake after the Poisoned Syringe, fought under a light timer; and the final mix of a one-hand axe soldier, twin blades and a spear carrier before the boss.

Minotaur boss: the Asterion fight

StepWhat to do
Hit the weak pointsUse the sphere to hit the statue's blue exposed points, tendrils and pustules.
Zipline both sidesUse the ziplines on each side to pull the head chains loose.
Dodge the blue circlesThe AoE rings are instant death on contact; keep moving and watch the ground.
Purify AsterionAfter the phases, purify Asterion to end the fight and the curse.

The fight is a multi-phase turret-style battle rather than a sword duel. Stay mobile, hit the glowing blue points when they open, and treat the ground AoE as a hard fail. When Asterion is purified, the chapter ends with Sophia's curse lifted and the Minotaur threat gone.

Missables and trophy notes

Completing the chapter unlocks the As One trophy. It also feeds They Were People (destroy 100 Petrified with light), Hoarder (the last two Relics), Superstitious (the last Charm) and Close Call (survive the creature by a hair's breadth five times). The six Resonance Points are the only missable items: sweep the route live, because chapter select will not restore them.

After the final fight, Chapter 14, What Remains, is a short epilogue with nothing to collect.

FAQ

How do I beat the Minotaur?

Hit the statue's blue weak points, tendrils and pustules with the sphere, use the ziplines on both sides to pull the head chains, dodge the instant-death blue AoE circles, then purify Asterion at the end.

How many collectibles are in Chapter 13?

Three pickable items: Labyrinth Plan and Poisoned Syringe Artefacts plus Trinket 5 Charm. Add the 6 Resonance Points and the chapter holds 9 total, depending on whether you count the skill currency.

Are the Chapter 13 items missable?

The 3 pickable items are recoverable through chapter select. The 6 Resonance Points are not: they only save to the next checkpoint, so a death before saving means re-grabbing them.

Is the Minotaur the final boss?

Yes. Asterion is the final boss. Chapter 14, What Remains, is the epilogue with no combat and no collectibles.
