Who is Asterion?

Asterion is the character behind the Minotaur, and the game's main antagonist. In the Minoan timeline he is King Minos' son, a boy with white hair who carries the Macula curse in his blood. The reveal, which the game treats as its central twist, is that the hero Sophia sees in her visions is not Theseus but Ariadne, Minos' daughter, who disguised herself to expose her father. Asterion is the earliest known carrier of the Macula in the series, before Basilius and Hugo, and he is fought as the final boss in Chapter 13. Who is Faro?

Faro is Sophia's guardian, not her father. Her father is Alec, the Plunderer leader who rescued her from the convent and died on the first expedition to Minotaur's Island. Faro was Alec's second-in-command, and after Alec's death he kept his promise and raised Sophia, trained her alongside Ezra and Irene, and led the gang. Who is Leni?

Leni is Sophia's closest friend and travelling companion. She is the lockpicker in Venice, the lever worker in the island's machinery puzzles, and the person who stays with Sophia through the final chapters. Is Sophia's ethnicity confirmed?

No. Searches for "sophia plague tale ethnicity" keep arriving here, and the honest answer is that the official sources do not state Sophia's ethnic background. Asobo has not published a character profile with that detail, and no reliable interview covers it. Anything online that gives her a specific ethnicity is an unverified claim, so this wiki does not repeat it.

Who is the main antagonist?

Asterion, the Minotaur. On the surface the island's creature and its corruption are the threat Sophia fights, but the story makes clear that Asterion, Minos' son and the earliest Macula carrier, is the figure behind it all. He is the final boss of Chapter 13. The antagonist thread also includes Irene, the Viper, the traitor who destroyed the Plunderers and who Sophia hunts across the second half of the game.

Is the voice cast confirmed?

Not reliably. A voice actor database lists Anna Demetriou as Sophia, but Demetriou voiced Amicia in Requiem, which makes that listing self-contradictory. Until the official credits are verified against a primary source, this site leaves the cast unconfirmed rather than repeating a conflict.

• What disease does Hugo have? It isn't a literal disease, the Macula is a supernatural curse that the series treats as a blood-borne affliction with thresholds ("Thresholds"). Resonance reveals it existed in Minoan Crete, centuries before Hugo.
• What qualifies as "a plague" in the series? The Plague is the Black Death, spread in the games by rat swarms that the Macula attracts and controls. Resonance shows an earlier manifestation on Crete where the Macula's creatures petrify rather than infect.
• Is A Plague Tale good? The series is well regarded, and Resonance reviews are genuinely split: IGN gave it 6/10 while DualShockers gave 9/10 and MondoXbox 8.5/10.
