Chapter 4 overview
From Hell It Rose takes Sophia underground into the island's first trial complex. The chapter moves from the entrance fights down through the abyss, through the Puzzles and Traps stretch, and ends with the Theseus vision that gives Sophia the Focus Attack. It is also the first chapter with a Hero Grave Blade.
Walkthrough by subchapter
| Subchapter | What happens |

| A Familiar Threat | The descent into the trial area begins. You face soldiers at the entrance and a familiar enemy type from earlier chapters. |
| Down the Abyss | A vertical stretch into the underground. Watch for archers on ledges and narrow walkways. |
| Puzzles and Traps | The spike-trap room and the first symbol puzzles. Leni reveals hidden paths with light. |
| At the Bottom | The lower ruins where the Kopis sits under the skull statue and the arena encounters begin. |
| Theseus | The vision sequence. You fight as Theseus, and finishing it unlocks the Focus Attack. |

| Second symbol puzzle (third door) | Left = O (starburst / circle with four diagonal lines), right = I or F shape (vertical line with two crossbars). | Minoan Sphere |

| Minotaur arena finale | Raise the left hand, then the right hand, then the head/body in three steps, using Light Revelation to reveal hidden symbols. | Light Revelation |
The symbol solutions come from gamingpromax's Chapter 4 puzzle guide and IGN's walkthrough, which agree on the order. The Minotaur arena finale is the trickiest: use Light Revelation to expose the hidden symbols, then raise the hands and head in the order shown.
Collectibles in Chapter 4
| Type | Name | How to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Blade | Kopis | In a chest under the skull statue, reached after the spike-trap room. Perk: Stagger Blow, the final combo hit staggers. |
| Artefact (Relic of the Present) | Polished Cornicello | In the camp area near the crates, reachable with a ladder. |
| Artefact (Relic of the Past) | Horned Rhyton | Left dead end after the puzzle room. |
| Artefact (Relic of the Past) | Grand Mosaic | On the left platform after the zipline landing. |
| Charm | Arm Band (2) | In a chest by the campfire opposite the camp, near the crates. |
| Charm | Trinket (1) | At the feet of a statue in the round room. Passive: very low chance to survive a killing blow. |
One naming note: IGN's text sometimes calls the Polished Cornicello an Arm Band Charm, but the cleaner source split, from allthings.how and 100pguides, is Polished Cornicello as an Artefact and Arm Band as a separate Charm. The total of 6 items is consistent across sources.
Combat and the Focus Attack
The chapter has steady combat: six soldiers and an archer at the entrance, a four-soldier ambush in the maze with reinforcements, spear soldiers on the narrow platform, a lever fight with waves and a heavy club enemy, the Theseus vision brawl, and the Minotaur room with soldiers and an armoured brute. The Theseus vision unlocks the Focus Attack, a combat ability that fills out Sophia's offensive toolkit for the rest of the game.
Missables and trophy notes
None of the 6 collectibles are permanently missable; chapter select covers every one. Chapter 4 feeds Plunderer (Kopis), Hoarder (3 Artefacts) and Superstitious (2 Charms). Resonance Points appear in several spots, including a few after the heavy fights, and those remain the only missable progress because of the checkpoint carry-over rule.
Next up is Chapter 5: Desolation It Wrought, the Four Symbols chapter, with 11 collectibles and the Greek Sword.
